VK Gaming wins Apex Legends Championship at EWC

In a hotly contested Grand Finale, VK Gaming has won the Apex Legends Championship at the Esports World Cup 2025 on their tournament debut. Widely regarded as an underdog going into the Grand Finals, VK Gaming outlasted six other match-point teams in a dramatic ninth game that will go down in the Apex Legends history books.

Seven teams entered game nine of the grand final on match point, each needing just one more win to claim the trophy, tied on 50 points each.

Defying the odds, it was VK Gaming who bounced back to win the final battle against Wolves Esports, winning a tense 1v1 to close out the lobby and take the Championship.

“The excitement is immense, and honestly, so is the relief,” said VK Gaming’s Chen “QQ” Yin-hong, reflecting on the tournament’s final moments. We poured everything into this, and then, in a blink, it was ours, we were champions. It was an incredible rush. We just went crazy celebrating.”

Team captain Cai “Kasssa” Denglang said: “Thank you to my fans, thank you, everyone, it’s been a long journey,” said Cai “Kasssa” Denglang, after lifting the trophy.”
