PUBG MOBILE announced ‘UNFAIL’, the game’s first-ever asymmetrical PVP mode, launching as part of Version 4.0 later this year. Players visiting Gamescom 2025 will have the opportunity to get hands on with a preview build of UNFAIL at PUBG MOBILE‘s booth located in Hall 6.1 this week.
UNFAIL is a thrilling pursuit and escape-themed asymmetrical competitive mode. Each match consists of five players: one powerful Predator versus four Survivors, with the Predator possessing formidable abilities to hunt down and eliminate the Survivors to win. To claim their victory, the Survivors must cooperate to hold off the Predator as they activate terminals and escape through an exit gate.
The reveal of UNFAIL at Gamescom forms part of PUBG MOBILE‘s “Beyond Battle Royale” product experience available at the renowned convention, as PUBG MOBILE continues to expand its horizons, bringing players new experiences to look forward to. Gamescom visitors will also get a sneak peek at Version 4.0’s Spooky Soiree theme for the first time, featuring a variety of ghost abilities and mechanics coming soon, on-site creation and play experiences in World of Wonder and interactive activities with PUBG MOBILE content creators.
Rick Li, Producer of PUBG MOBILE, will also speak at the Playing for the Planet (P4P) Panel at the gamescom congress taking place on August 21st in the Confex conference and exhibition center at 14:35 (CEST) as Tencent Games continues to commit to shaping a sustainable future for the gaming industry. Joining fellow industry leaders from Ubisoft, Unity Technologies and Xbox, Li will contribute to the panel “Level up for impact: How Consoles, Engines and AAA games are driving efficiency upstream and inspiring action downstream with players.” The discussion aims to highlight how different parts of the video games industry can contribute to reducing emissions, while also engaging players to raise environmental awareness and inspire meaningful action.
