Peer5 MultiCDN to power DLive e-Sports streaming worldwide

Peer5, which operates the world’s first Multi CDN as a Service, recently announced that DLive, a disruptive live-streaming platform that leverages blockchain technology to reward both creators and viewers, has chosen Peer5 to power its e-sports streaming worldwide.

“Streaming huge events to massive global audiences is the foundation of our company,” said Liang Tian, Head of Infrastructure at DLive. “And that’s why we made a very deliberate decision regarding our video delivery partner. Peer5’s MultiCDN solution gives us all the bandwidth we need, in every region we need, at a moment’s notice and puts it all behind a single API and reporting dashboard that makes it incredibly easy to operate.”

Since its launch in September 2018, DLive has quickly grown to become a preeminent e-sports streaming platform, with viewers watching over 34 million hours of content in Q2 2019, according to StreamLabs. The company recently entered into an exclusive live streaming partnership with PewDiePie, the world’s largest independent content creator with more than 97M subscribers on YouTube. Events featuring personalities like PewDiePie create unprecedented traffic spikes on DLive’s streaming infrastructure, driving the need for a scalable solution like the Peer5 MultiCDN.

“We’re thrilled that DLive has chosen our MultiCDN to power its worldwide streaming,” said Hadar Weiss, CEO at Peer5. “Our proprietary real-time switching technology solves speed, scalability and network resiliency issues for global media companies like DLive and we look forward to helping the DLive team to flawlessly deliver even bigger streaming events.”
