Djamel Eddine Saadallah (Canibal), the captain for All-Stars E-sports Team speak with Games MEA about their team’s journey to qualify for the main stage of the Free Fire World Series Semi-final and how the team is getting ready to win the championship
Congratulations on your fantastic performance in the Free Fire Arab League, what does it means to you and how would you describe your journey so far?
First of all, we have to thank God for all the blessings that we have reached this far. It’s been an amazing journey so far as it took a lot of practice and preparation but we have been rewarded by having a chance to qualify for the main stage of the World Series Semi-final that we’re aiming for.
What do you have to say about the other teams in the league and what quality in your team made you feature among the top teams in the league?
All the teams are very strong and there are no easy games at all, meaning we had to be at the top of our game in every match. While that was a key factor, working together as a team and past experiences of playing in competitions was crucial to how far we have come today.
How has been the response from the fans?
First of all, I would like to express my thanks to everyone who cheered on us and supported us until we got here. It’s been great to have them on board as they have been key to our success and hope to do them proud in the World Series.
Free Fire World Series is going to be an entirely different game, with unknown teams, unknown players, highly competitive environment, what’s your take on the finals?
The World Series is a competition where the best sides will come together to be in with a chance to win. Of course, every team has their own goals that they want to achieve and for us that is to win the tournament. we will do our best to be one of the top 4 teams in the semi-final and qualify to the grand final.
Are you going to field the same team in the finals or there will be any changes?
There will be some changes before we leave where one of our players will not be participating.
What does it take to win a world series and how are you preparing the team for the finals in Singapore?
Practice is the perfect preparation. We have been spending a lot of time practising as that will be crucial in succeeding and we will go into the tournament well prepared on what to expect.
Which are the other teams that you think can give you hard time at the finals?
We know it will be tough but honestly there is no team who we believe that can give us a difficult time. We just need to play to our strengths throughout the tournament and just focus on giving our best.
Where do you see your team in the next 2 years?
Our objective is to be crowned champions in the Free Fire World Series – whether that is this year or next. That would be a fantastic achievement for all of us as it’s such a prestigious global event so I hope we can achieve this goal in the future.
