NVIDIA expands DLSS 4 support with new updates and GeForce game ready driver

This week brings DLSS game updates, a new GeForce Game Ready Driver, and added support for 5 G-SYNC Compatible displays.

Below are the details of the new games and updates that are integrating the NVIDIA RTX technology to deliver the definitive PC experience for GeForce RTX players

Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios’ Avowed is available in Advanced Access for Premium Edition buyers, followed by the full release on February 18. Set in the fictional world of Eora, which was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed sends players to investigate rumors of a plague spreading throughout the Living Lands. At launch, Avowed includes support for NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex, and image quality can be enhanced by enabling hardware-accelerated ray-traced reflections. NVIDIA app users can further enhance image quality and performance using DLSS 4 overrides with GeForce RTX 50 and 40 Series GPUs.

With the release of a new update, Star Wars Outlaws is now better on all GeForce RTX PCs with the addition of NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, an upgraded DLSS Frame Generation model for improved performance and reduced VRAM usage  and the new DLSS transformer AI model for DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA. On GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, DLSS Multi Frame Generation works with other DLSS technologies to multiply frame rates by 9.3X on average compared to traditional brute-force rendering. This massive leap in performance enables GeForce RTX 5090 owners to play at over 220 frames per second at 4K, with ray tracing and Ultra settings, and GeForce RTX 5080 owners at up to 150 frames per second, giving GeForce RTX 50 Series gamers a noticeably faster, smoother experience.

In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the rip-roaring adventure is about to get even better thanks to an Indiana Jones and the Great Circle update coming next week. It introduces NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction, updates DLSS Super Resolution and DLAA to use NVIDIA’s new transformer-based AI model, and adds fully ray-traced shadows from all light sources. Activating DLSS Multi Frame Generation along with DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Ray Reconstruction sees performance multiply by an average of 4X on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs at 4K with full ray tracing enabled.

With the added power provided by DLSS with Multi Frame Generation, the GeForce RTX 5090 soars past 260 frames per second at 4K, delivering the definitive Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PC experience. At 2560×1440, a 3.7X average performance multiplier sees both the GeForce RTX 5080 and GeForce RTX 5090 exceeds 235 FPS with full ray tracing enabled, offering players at the increasingly popular resolution a fantastic experience.

Created by industry MMO veterans, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery is a love letter to PvP combat, resource gathering, exploration, and the togetherness of MMOs, all in a single-player or co-op extraction game experience. Legacy: Steel & Sorcery entered Early Access on Steam already, and GeForce RTX gamers can accelerate performance with NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation.

Desolated by the Lament, civilization is born anew in KURO GAMES’ open world title, Wuthering Waves. At launch, Wuthering Waves includes support for NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution, and a new game update introduces support for DLSS Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex, and ray-traced reflections, enabling GeForce RTX gamers to accelerate frame rates, reduce system latency, and make gameplay more visually spectacular.

A small team of modders under the banner of wiltOS Technologies have been working to update Ubisoft and Arkane Studios’ 2006 first-person action RPG, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic RTX Remix set in the Might & Magic Fantasy universe. To give gamers full flexibility, they are crafting three different mods that can be used individually or together. One updates the game, correcting bugs and introducing various quality-of-life improvements. The second adds a full online co-op campaign and other new content. The third is an NVIDIA RTX Remix mod that gives Dark Messiah of Might and Magic a complete graphical overhaul, adding full ray tracing and DLSS. NVIDIA’s newest GeForce Game Ready Driver is out now and features day-one support for Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s  DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation update, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, and Wuthering Waves’ DLSS Frame Generation update. This driver also supports four new Optimal Playable Settings profiles and 5 G-SYNC Compatible displays that deliver a baseline Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) experience that makes gaming smoother and more enjoyable.
