Morocco’s Warriors on Mask wins the Free Fire World Series MEA 2024 Grand Finals

Morocco’s Warriors on Mask (WASK) team emerged victorious at the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) MEA 2024 Grand Finals, securing their place in the upcoming FFWS 2024 Global Finals. Alongside this achievement, Egypt’s Vamos Team captured attention by finishing 4th, demonstrating the growing strength and potential of Egyptian esports.

WASK emerged as the champions of the FFWS MEA 2024 Grand Finals after narrowly defeating Aurés Team by just 1 point. While their victory underscores the strength and dominance of WASK in the region, the emergence of teams like Egypt’s Vamos highlights the increasing competitiveness within the MEA region.

Vamos Team, has rapidly ascended the ranks of the Free Fire esports scene. Rebranded earlier this year, Vamos secured their spot in the FFWS MEA 2024 by finishing second in the Free Fire MEA Championship Summer 2024 (June), an open qualifier for teams across the region. Despite a challenging Group Stage in the FFWS MEA (July 8-August 3), where they finished 7th with 285 points, Vamos secured a spot in the Grand Finals and went on to finish 4th with 70 points.

Vamos’ captain, Eslam Adly, expressed the team’s pride in their journey, saying: “This year has been transformative for us. We’ve faced challenges, but our performance in this tournament shows that our hard work is paying off. Competing against the best has only fueled our desire to push further and achieve even greater things for Egypt.”

Vamos Team’s success is a significant milestone for Egyptian esports, proving that the country can compete with the best in the MEA region. Their strong performance, coupled with the valuable experience gained by Silence Gunners, who finished 11th, is a testament to the rapid growth of Free Fire esports in Egypt. The future looks bright as more Egyptian teams rise to prominence in regional and global tournaments.
