Gigabyte launches new 1440p resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate curved gaming monitor

While Gigabyte is known for its graphics cards, motherboards, and other components, the company has unleashed its first curved ultra-wide gaming monitor called the G34WQC, featuring a resolution of 1440p (3440 x 1440) and can hit a fast refresh rate of 144 Hz. The monitor features a VA panel with 1500R curvature. Along with its fast refresh rate, the monitor also features a 1ms response time. The screen also comes with a native 8-bit panel for better colour performance, and 120% sRGB wide colour gamut. The monitor is also certified by VESA DisplayHDR 400 that helps to improve the contrast.

Gigabyte G34WQC

The new Gigabyte G34WQC features a screen size of 34-inch and has a wide aspect ratio of 21:9. Gigabyte uses a Samsung based SVA ultra-wide panel for the G34WQC monitor. The display panel also comes with a matte anti-glare finish and the contrast ratio is 3000:1. The monitor also features a flicker-free WLED backlight with a luminance of 350 cd/m2 and can reach 400 cd/m2 with HDR.

The wide aspect ratio enables an extra field of view by 30%, as compared to the standard monitors that feature a 16:9 aspect ratio. The monitor also has support for Adaptive-Sync, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and AMD FreeSync Premium with a variable refresh rate between 48 Hz to 144 Hz. The monitor also comes with multiple ports, that include two HDMI 2.0 ports, two Display Port 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Gigabyte G34WQC curved gaming monitor also has dual 2W speakers. The monitor also features a joystick on its rear side to help users to easily control the OSD (On Screen Display). The stand of the G34WQC features tilt and height adjustment up to 100mm and also includes 100 x 100mm VESA mount holes.

Gigabyte G34WQC also features the Aim Stabilizer that helps to reduce motion blur for better visual clarity during gaming. There is no word yet on the availability of the Gigabyte G34WQC VA ultra-wide gaming monitor for the UAE market.
