This month’s PS Plus games lineup should have something to suit your tastes. LittleBigPlanet 3 and Not a Hero lead the charge onto PS4 while the local competitive fun of Starwhal and the old-school challenge of Ninja Senki DX help to create a well-rounded month of free games along with TorqueL and Anna.
The free games will arrive on February 7 – make sure you download them all before this short non-leap-year month is over.
LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4)
The infinitely customizable world of Sackboys and Sackgirls is turned on its head by the addition of three new heroes: OddSock, Toggle, and Swoop. Combine their unique new abilities with good old creative problem solving to make your way through a whole new selection of platforming stages – and then make your own, obviously.
Not a Hero (PS4)
Cover-based sidescrolling shooting is only half of Not a Hero – the other half is a really odd sense of humor and style for days. Go on ultraviolent assassinations for mayoral candidate BunnyLord and smash through enough plate glass windows to put the Hollywood stunt industry out of business.
Ninja Senki DX (PS4, PS Vita)
Everything about Ninja Senki DX is meant to feel like an undiscovered 8-bit gem: colorful pixel graphics on a 4:3 display, a super minimal story, and intense, screen-by-screen platforming challenges.
Starwhal (PS4, PS3)
Starwhals (narwhals in space) are nature’s perfect creation, which naturally leaves them no choice but to kill each other until only one remains. Flop desperately as you try to spear your opponents’ hearts but don’t fall prey to their mighty horns yourself!
TorqueL (PS4, PS Vita)
It’s a platformer, but instead of running and jumping you roll and extend. Your box’s four extruding and retracting faces turn typical platforming challenges into mind-bending conundrums.
Anna – Extended Edition (PS3)
Between the carefully crafted halls of Amnesia and the procedurally generated chambers of Outlast lies Anna. This horror game reacts to your play style and choices by subtly shifting locations and triggering different events in kind. There’s also a character named “The Wife Doll” which sounds super creepy.
