Pie for Breakfast Studios, an award-winning game studio blending play with the arts, and independent studio PxlPlz will be bringing their game Little Nemo and the Nightmare Fiends, to the Nintendo Switch. The developers are currently raising money for the game on Kickstarter, seeking a funding goal of $70,000 and made the announcement via a Kickstarter update.
The game was named a “Project We Love” by Kickstarter on the first day of the campaign. Little Nemo and the Nightmare Fiends has been called “the best use of public domain I’ve seen in a video game” by GameHistory.org’s Frank Cifaldi and “a dream come true for fans of the little dreamer” by Big Boss Battle’s Bryan Taylor.
Little Nemo is inspired by Winsor McCay’s landmark 1905 comic strip, Little Nemo in Slumberland. Fans of non-linear platform games such as Shantae and Demon’s Crest, or retro action games like Little Samson will find a lot to love in Little Nemo!
