Garena Free Fire launches online gaming tournament with USD 10,000 prizes

Garena Free Fire has today announced it will host its first ever Solo Battle Royale competition in the MENA region next month as the best gamers put their skills to the test in the Lone Wolf online tournament.

Set to take place between May 3rd to 16th, the event will have a total prize fund of $10,000 with 20,000 players across the region battling for glory on two classic maps – Bermuda and Purgatory.

During the inaugural edition, the gamers will go head-to-head with the player claiming the most points for kills and placements advancing to the next round.

Registration for the tournament will open from 30 April to 1 May with qualifying rounds taking place between May 3rd to 8th. For those who lose their matches, will be given a second chance to advance to the next round when the Lower Bracket matches are held on May 9th.

The semi-finals will take place on 13th and 14th May with the winners proceeding to the Grand Finals two days later on 16th May as they aim to win the top prize.

In addition to the Lone Wolf tournament, Garena will also host an Influencers competition that will pit the world’s most famous Free Fire YouTubers, of more than 25 million subscribers between them, against each other.

To run from April 30 to May 17, all the matches will be streamed live on the Free Fire MENA YouTube channel, enabling fans to follow all the action.

The tournament is part of Garena’s commitment to promote the eSports sector in the region and gives gamers an opportunity to test themselves during the Holy month of Ramadan. Earlier this month, more than 100,000 teams, each consisting of 4 to 5 players, participated in the Garena Free Fire Arab Series.
