Mobile games developer Navigator Games and heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN announced the arrival of Night City to their ‘Legacy of the Beast’ game, a massive new world heavily inspired by the band’s early works, especially their seminal second album ‘Killers’.
Night City kicks off Legacy of the Beast’s second major story arc, set in a dystopian 1980’s London and featuring 72 new Battle Quests set across jaw dropping environments containing 18 new playable ally characters & and an array of powerful foes. Night City will, of course, also herald the arrival of the indisputable and iconic Killers Eddie – 1981’s original axe murderer.
The launch of Night City precedes Maiden’s recently announced 2019 Legacy Of The Beast Tour across North, South, Central America and Canada: a show inspired by a game – with actual touring stage sets that mirror their own Legacy of the Beast mobile game worlds and environments…
Dave Shack, Managing Director at Phantom Music Management said “The arrival of Night City marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of Legacy of the Beast, giving both players of our game and fans of the band an incredible opportunity to play through an environment that has literally brought yet another of our albums to life. We’re incredibly excited about the launch of Night City and the new narrative path that Eddie (in all his guises) will be embarking upon, once again sound-tracked with our incredible music from that era”.
The Legacy of the Beast game team commented “The original Killers art has provided us with a rich, inspirational background to explore and then re-configure for the excitement of our hordes of players. The iconic album art, lit by street light provides an incredible texture in which to display the new characters and some, hopefully, recognisable landmarks from Maiden’s early existence. It’s a great addition to the game and the start of Phase II proper!”
Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast is a ever-expanding dark fantasy RPG via their smartphones & tablets that offers definitive experience in the mobile gaming space and the game is available now for free on Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
