Canyon recently introduced the Fortnax GKW-2, a gaming keyboard that features a wireless membrane design, backlit lighting, and more. We received the Fortnax GKW-2 for review, and here are our thoughts about the keyboard.
The new Canyon Fortnax GKW-2 features a vibrant dark pink color. The dimensions of the keyboard are 407 mm width, 119 mm depth, 19 mm height. The keyboard weighs 556 g. Canyon mentions that the keyboard is designed to deliver an impressive and comfortable typing experience, and the device features a membrane keyboard system.
The membrane keyboard system is designed for a silent yet satisfying typing experience for both work and play. The device is also designed to last for over 10 million keystrokes. The connectivity ports and buttons are located on the top rear side of the device, which includes the switch for iOS devices, Macs, and Windows systems, along with the power ON/OFF and a USB Type-C connector.
We should also mention that the keyboard comes with an RGB backlit system with 10 modes to choose from. Canyon also ensured that the keyboard is splashproof, so the accidental coffee or cool drink spills do not stop your work or gaming sessions. The bottom side of the keyboard also features the pink color theme, along with white silicon feet. The Fortnax GKW-2 features a 2-way kickstand for users to adjust their typing styles according to their own needs.
When it comes to wireless connectivity, the device supports both 2.4G wireless and Bluetooth 5.1. You will be able to connect up to two devices with Bluetooth. The gaming keyboard also houses a large 2000 mAh battery, which allows gamers to play for longer hours. You also get a 1.5m white USB-C cable along with the keyboard.
Verdict
As far as our experience goes, the typing experience is great, and it’s fun to type and game with it. The keys produce silent keystrokes, which is good when you don’t want to disturb others nearby, thanks to the membrane keyboard system. The keyboard also has RGB backlit lighting, and you can connect with both wired and wireless options. Wireless options include 2.4G and Bluetooth 5.1.
The device is compatible with iOS, Macs, and Windows PCs. The USB-C port and the switches are on the top front side of the keyboard, which is easy to access. The keyboard also comes with a 2-way kickstand that allows users to adjust according to their needs, and the device can handle up to 10 million keystrokes.
