Bigo Live, a leading social livestreaming platform, affirms the company’s commitment to supporting the esports industry, with their continued partnership as the official live broadcast partner of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M4 World Championships this year.
The M4 World Championship is the fourth iteration of the biggest and most prestigious Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament in the world. Taking place from the 1st till the 15th of January, this year’s tournament hosts 16 of the best Mobile Legends teams from different regions across the world including the Middle East, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Latin America, North America, and more to compete for a US$800,000 prize pool, representing the crowning glory of competitive MLBB.
Bigo Live is livestreaming all matches from this year’s tournament on MLBB’s official Bigo Live channel while also providing team data comparison, star player data comparison, match highlights compilation and encourages fans to come together to share their experience and support for their favorite teams or players. To foster a more engaging experience for both creators and viewers on the platform during the tournament, Bigo Live compiles a ‘M4 User Watching Hours Award’, which rewards the top ten users with the most hours watched and be updated weekly.
From the region, there was initially great support towards Occupy Thrones which qualified for the M4 Championship by being crowned Champions of the MPL MENA Fall Season 2022 last year. While the team’s journey concluded in the group stages of the M4 tournament, the Bigo Live MENA Gaming Community continues to invite MLBB broadcasters to commentate live in parallel for M4 matches. As regional spectators look forward to support their favorite teams, the platform will also be introducing prize draws along with a variety of incentives to garner more participation and engagement during the championships.
“Mobile gaming provides a new opportunity for people to meet others with similar interests where they can connect and establish meaningful friendships with one other through their shared passion of gaming. There has been a significant uptake in the mobile gaming industry and we are proud to support this growth in the MENA region,” said a spokesperson from Bigo Live. “We are excited to partner with the MLBB and confident that the M4 World Championships this year will help showcase the talents of the best mobile gamers from across the globe and we look forward to providing a friendly yet competitive environment for the participants of the same. As we look towards the future, we are eager to encourage aspiring gamers to foster their talents on Bigo Live and in turn help improve upon our wide and extensive gaming communities.”
