Review: HyperX Pulsefire Haste Lightweight Gaming Mouse

Elite gamers usually prefer to go for a gaming mouse that not only offers good performance but also features an ultra-lightweight design. We take a look at the HyperX Pulsefire Haste lightweight gaming mouse and here are our thoughts about it.

The HyperX Pulsefire Haste comes with a design that focuses on weight and comfort level. The device uses an ultra-light hex shell design with air gaps that are shaped like a honeycomb, without sacrificing the durability of the mouse. This open mesh design also contributes to better ventilation and airflow. The mouse weighs only 59g.

There are a total of 6 control buttons, two of which are the left and right mouse clicks, two on the left side, the scroll wheel button, and one above it. The scroll wheel also features RGB LED lighting.

Unlike other mice that have glossy chassis, the Pulsefire Haste features a matte-like surface that helps for better grip while using the device. The mouse uses TTC Golden micro dustproof switches that offer solid and satisfying clicks. The switches also come with anti-dust coating and are good enough to last up to 60 million clicks.

Underneath the mouse is the low-friction, pure virgin-grade 100% PTFE skates that help to glide the mouse easily and effortlessly for more responsive actions. HyperX has also included spare skates so you can replace them when the current one wears off. For better control and comfort, the package also includes grip tapes for the sides of the mouse and the left/right buttons.

The HyperX Pulsefire Haste comes in black, black-red, and white-pink colors, and our review unit is the all-black version. The HyperFlex USB cable of the mouse is made of a lightweight flexible paracord material that helps to reduce tension and resistance for better mouse movement. The Pulsefire Haste houses the Pixart 3335 sensor that is capable of detecting up to 16,000 DPI.

You will also be able to customize the DPI settings, RGB lighting, and assign custom buttons and macros with the HyperX NGENUITY application. Other features include 450 IPS and 40G acceleration.
