MSI launches SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD with up to 7000MB/s speeds

MSI has unveiled its flagship model to its SSD product line called the SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 HS. The new high-end drives refine the company’s identity as a high-performance PC brand by expanding the ecosystem and covering the high-performance storage category. These SSDs are built with high-quality, high-density 3D NAND flash that delivers great performance with up to 7000MB/sec read.

On SPATIUM M480, the aluminum bronze-colored heatsink improves heat-dissipation to sustain transfer speeds for professionals, content creators, and gamers. Other performance-improving technologies include a DRAM cache buffer and an SLC cache. SPATIUM M480 is the fastest product in the SPATIUM lineup with three storage capacities – 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB, bringing next-level storage performance to demanding content creators and gamers. Compliance with PCIe Gen 4 and NVMe 1.4 standards unleashes the latest in extreme transfer speeds up to 7000MB/sec sequential read and 6800MB/sec sequential write speeds.

The bronze-colored aluminum heatsink efficiently dissipates heat with its stacked fin structure, reducing the SSD temperature by up to 20°C under load and allowing M480 to sustain maximum performance under heavy workloads. SPATIUM M480 supports a comprehensive range of data error correction features including LPDC ECC and E2E Data Protection, providing a high-rated TBW (Terabytes Written) for excellent durability and longevity backed with a limited 5-year warranty.
