Swedish game developer 10 Chambers has unveiled raw gameplay footage of their upcoming techno-thriller co-op FPS, Den of Wolves. The footage showcases an intense gunfight inside an abandoned bank now controlled by the notorious Jötunn Guard gang, alongside the game’s groundbreaking “Dive” mechanic that transports players into surreal mental dimensions.
In Midway City, where the game takes place, biological data storage emerged following devastating AI-driven cyberattacks in the 2030s that nearly brought the global economy to collapse. In response, corporations have developed revolutionary “Bio-Stashes”—data storage systems based on human neural patterns, which are fundamentally different from traditional networks, making them completely inaccessible to AI.
“What we call The Dive is when you’re hacking one of these neural networks, and it throws you into another dimension where rules can be bent however we want – and the location and environment as well,” says Ulf Andersson, Game Director. “In this specific Dive, you are parkouring in a space setting, but a Dive can take place anywhere. For example, we are currently working on a dive set in a horror setting, in a Norwegian forest, and monsters are chasing you.”
Den of Wolves expands the traditional heist concept far beyond bank robberies. As criminals-for-hire in Midway City’s corporate battleground, players will execute industrial espionage, steal prototypes, sabotage operations, and carry out assassinations—or “unauthorized errands” as the corporations euphemistically call them.
The game is currently in active development and will be released as Early Access on Steam. No specific release date has been announced, as 10 Chambers emphasizes their commitment to quality over rushed deadlines.
