Top 3 eSports Games hit 286 million monthly hours watched on Twitch

The growing number of people forced to stay at home due to the coronavirus pandemic has led to a huge increase in both the number of viewers and hours spent watching on Twitch.

According to data gathered by GoldenCasinoNews.com, the three leading eSports games hit 286 million hours watched on the most popular live streaming platform for gamers in March.

League of Legends jumped over 123 million hours in a March
As one of the most played games in the world, League of Legends draw the highest number of Twitch viewers last month, revealed the Statista and TwitchTracker data. The statistics show they spent over 123 million hours watching the online battle arena game developed and published by Riot Games, or two million more compared to February. At the same time, the average number of LoL viewers surpassed 166,000.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was watched 96.2 million hours in March
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare ranked second on the list, with 96.2 million hours watched on Twitch in March. The popular first-person shooter game created by Infinity Ward and published by Activision witnessed an increase of over 87 million hours watched compared to the prior month.

Moreover, the average number of viewers hit nearly 130,000 last month, or ten times more than the February figures. The end of the second week in March also brought a new Twitch record for the game, reaching nearly 521,000 peak viewers.

CS:GO hit 66.8 million hours watched in March
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was the third most-watched game on Twitch. The popular shooting game reached 66.8 million hours watched last month, or 17.1 million more compared to February.

Statistics also show the CS:GO average monthly number of Twitch viewers has been on the rise for the last three months. In February, over 71,600 Twitch users followed the game, or 26,000 more compared to the month before. The number continued growing in March, reaching nearly 90,000 average viewers.
